In order to better equip the front office teams, and in the context of tremendous growth in our trading portfolios, we are developing a greenfield Risk & PnL engine within our CTRM (Commodity Trading & Risk Management system). We are seeking someone with strong C++ and Python development skills, coupled with an understanding of risk and an interest in commodities trading. You will join a small team, mostly based in London.

In this role, you will:

  • Design : Functionalities, tools and reports, with the business, translating business requirements into technical designs. This requires gaining a deep understanding of our trading business, deal structures, risk management concepts, etc.
  • Develop : Leverage core components of this new Risk & PnL engine, and other parts of the CTRM to develop these functionalities, tools and reports for the business.
  • Deploy : Roll-out of the new Risk & PnL engine to our business, across desks and locations.

As a Risk Strategist, you will be at the crossroads of developing this new Risk & PnL engine, facing both business priorities and technical challenges. You will encounter ambiguous problems requiring you to define not only the answers but also the questions.

Qualifications

What you need to bring:

  • C++ & Python : 3+ years developing in C++ and some experience in Python on enterprise-level solutions. Demonstrated experience in developing robust, maintainable, and extensible code.
  • Experience working with trading desks and the technology they use.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Full proficiency in English.
  • Strong sense of ownership , ability to work independently as well as in a team. Exemplary work ethics.
  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in a technical field.

Qualifications that will help you stand out:

  • Experience with derivative risk concepts including option pricing and Greek risk measures.
  • Energy markets experience.
  • Experience in developing UIs in React.
