We are a leader in the energy sector with a presence across the spectrum; from oil through to power, renewables and carbon credits. Every day we use our expertise to distribute energy around the world. We source from producers, refiners and intermediaries and deliver to refineries, utilities, airlines and retail distribution networks as well as wholesalers and other traders. Job Description
Based in London, your position will be responsible for coordinating and managing global compliance-related projects. You will report to the Head of Compliance, EMEA. This is a truly ‘hands-on’ position, working autonomously to facilitate tangible compliance improvements from analysis and design through to implementation. Your role will include the following main duties:
- Planning and implementation of Compliance lead projects. This includes but is not limited to:
- Defining the scope and goals with the sponsor
- Supporting internal and external stakeholders when defining and delivering solutions
- Managing the procurement process for external suppliers
- Assessing resource requirements
- Planning and scheduling project timelines
- Representing Compliance on cross-departmental projects
- Managing the pipeline of global compliance-related projects
- Supporting the implementation of new tools and processes within the compliance team
- Providing regular reporting on the status of projects
- Managing relationships with external providers
- Tracking project performance
- Maintaining project specification documentation, from scoping to implementation and training
Qualifications
You are a project manager with a successful track record of delivering projects. You can learn at pace to understand the complex such that it can be documented simply. You can drive change and think both strategically and creatively.
- Masters degree (or higher) in a relevant subject, e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Economics
- 2-4 years of experience running complex business projects for a management consulting firm or a financial/regulated company
- Compliance/regulatory-related project experience would be advantageous
- Entrepreneurial drive, ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills – able to find pragmatic solutions with an analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to convey complex concepts in simple terms
- Full proficiency communicating in English in a business context (verbally & in writing)
- Proven capacity to prioritise and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Willing to travel up to 15% internationally
