Role Overview

The Learning Specialist (Digital Learning & Systems) reports to the L&D Manager and supports the company‑wide Learning & Development strategy as well as the Commercial Sales Enablement Strategy. The role designs, manages, and continuously improves digital learning solutions that support the entire employee lifecycle – from onboarding to organisational capability, commercial, compliance and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain engaging global digital learning solutions based on business needs and key metrics.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex information into clear, learner‑centred content.
  • Curate high‑quality learning content for diverse audiences and manage learning libraries, pathways, and enrolments aligned to roles, skills and organisational priorities.
  • Maintain audience lists, retire or refresh outdated materials and evaluate content effectiveness.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing embedding of learning systems (e.g., LXP, authoring tools, L&D and Sales Enablement tools).
  • Act as a key stakeholder between learning, IT, systems, operations and other teams to integrate learning technology with Hibob, Salesforce and other systems.
  • Analyse learning data and metrics, producing clear insights to inform continuous improvement of learning content, systems and strategy.
  • Partner with Compliance SMEs and providers to design and deliver compliance training and set up the learning technology platform for audit‑ready reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with HR, compliance and technical teams; act as a trusted advisor on digital learning and learning technology.
  • Translate business needs into learning solutions, communicate progress and outcomes, and support the performance journey from career goals to skill‑aligned learning content.

Qualifications

  • 3‑6+ years’ experience as a Learning Specialist.
  • Experience implementing and managing learning experience/management systems.
  • Proficiency in video editing (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) and motion graphics (After Effects, Vyond, LottieFiles).
  • Experience with authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, EasyGenerator).
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Analytical skills – ability to work with learning data, metrics and to utilise insights for continuous improvement.
  • Experience creating learning material for sales enablement, customer success or commercial teams.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Proactive, collaborative, adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑paced, global environment.
  • Ideal but not essential: experience in fintech, tech, insurance or banking industries and working with global teams across the UK and US.
