About the role

Bunge is seeking a Freight Coordinator to join our logistics team in a key role coordinating road and rail freight bulk transport within Australia. This role will work with the Logistics Planner to schedule and co-ordinate rail movements and road transport services to meet internal and external requirements; ensuring efficiencies are generated for both the company and our customers.

Duties:

  • Coordinating rail and road freight within the designated areas
  • Identifying opportunities to achieve efficiencies (including optimising and back loading)
  • Ensuring safety and compliance requirements are met
  • Assisting in managing our network of preferred carriers
  • Monitoring performance and KPI reporting

About you

  • Certificate in Supply Chain and Logistics or 2-3 years relevant logistics experience.
  • Experience in logistics including knowledge and experience of booking and coordinating road and rail transport.
  • Knowledge of the grain industry.
  • Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility and SH&E legislation relevant to the role.
  • Sound knowledge of technology to support business and delivery of role.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive.
