About the role

The purpose of this role is to coordinate and drive the effective delivery of our product roadmap across the organisation. By working closely with product management and quality teams, the role translates strategic priorities into executable plans, aligns resources, manages risks and releases, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. This role supports an efficient development lifecycle through clear tracking, reporting and synchronisation of activities while providing clear visibility of progress across the R&D portfolio.

What you’ll do:

  • Build relationships with stakeholders from all areas of the business – Software and hardware development teams, System Test, Customer Support, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Quality.
  • Work with product management to understand the priority of work and track prioritized work for each product.
  • Have a good understanding of New Product Design and Release (NPDR) processes and project management and product development methodologies.
  • Translate project objectives into deliverable tasks for all stakeholders within a project.
  • Synchronize the different activities between departments to ensure an optimal development cycle and a faster time-to-market.
  • Review resource allocation for R&D – both retrospectively and as part of the forward planning.
  • Understand and work with the Quality department to ensure all products meet necessary regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Manage the release process for all software and hardware deliverables.
  • General tracking of all R&D risks, issues, milestones and change requests on relevant active projects.
  • Report any deviation to the planned roadmap and activities, either coming from delays or resource issues so that General Management can reassess resource allocation.
  • Report on multiple active projects, in conjunction with other Program Managers to give the business a holistic view of the status of all work.

About You

The ideal candidate is highly organised with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. You will communicate clearly on project status, risks, and timelines and have a strong understanding of the full hardware product development lifecycle from design through to manufacture. Having ideally worked in a technology, manufacturing, or electronics environment, you will be experienced in applying project management methodologies appropriately, making effective use of planning and tracking tools.

Knowledge & Experience

The ideal candidate will have a background in hardware and software delivery projects and an understanding of the hardware product development lifecycle – from design to manufacture. Training and experience in PRINCE 2 and Agile PM methodology would be an advantage.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills – ability to answer questions on project status, issues, risks, timelines etc for the business.
  • Experience with various project management methodologies (i.e. Agile and Waterfall) and understanding of relevance for different types of projects.
  • Experience gained from working in the technology, manufacturing and/or electronics industries in an international context, ideally in SMEs.
  • Can demonstrate experience of using relevant planning tools.
