We specialize in developing, delivering, and maintaining energy management software for large businesses as well as providing grid management services. The head-office is located near Rotterdam in The Netherlands. The team of highly skilled people consists of energy managers, developers, support, and sales/account managers.
With a historical focus on the Dutch greenhouse sector, Enova has rapidly grown across various industries. Being active in the UK since 2022, weβre now looking to extend our team with a Business Development Manager UK to further expand in other energy intensive sectors like industry, solar and wind power production and utilities in the UK. We are offering a unique opportunity to be part of a scale-up in energy tech with the backing and support of an established parent company.
About the position
- Drive Growth: Lead the development and execution of a business strategy, focused on client acquisition and expanding relationships within industry, renewable energy production and utilities.
- Consultative Selling: Engage clients, using a consultative sales approach, understanding their unique challenges, and offering tailored solutions to meet their needs. You should be comfortable discussing both technical and business-related aspects of the solutions.
- Client Relationships: Establish and nurture strong relationships with prospective clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and satisfaction.
- Sales Leadership: Lead negotiations, prepare tailored proposals, and close deals to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and the wider group to align product offerings with client needs and market demands.
About you
You have experience in a business development or sales role, ideally within the energy (power, solar, wind, heat) industry or related. A degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is desirable, but not essential. The ideal candidate is curious, results-oriented, committed and loves to make a business grow.
Required Qualities:
- Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships, particularly in the energy, power generation, or software solutions sectors.
- Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to understand client needs and propose relevant, value-adding solutions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment, with the support and resources within the company and from other companies in the group.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
