What this role is all about:
We are looking for a talented and experienced FICO Rules Application Architect to play a key role in our Team. You will be a senior developer working on both enhancements to existing rule sets and the design of new functionality â all with the aim of protecting the financial performance of our claims fund and strengthening the business processes that underpin our Plan Terms and Conditions. This is a pivotal role where your technical expertise, problemâsolving skills and collaborative approach will make a real difference.
Key Actions:
- Implement the software development life cycle: You will build, maintain, test, deliver, release and document accessible and customer centric software solutions, as required:
- Write clean, secure, and well tested software using FICO Decision Modeller (SRL)
- Complete all documentation in line with their work, IT support processes; test and release notes;
- Take ownership to investigate and fix faults following agreed procedures and provide root cause analysis and recommendations where appropriate
- Build and enhance rules in FICO Decision Modeller using Structured Rule Language and syntax (SRL). Technically design rule logic and support rule ideation sessions to shape this with FICO Rules Technical Product Analysts
- Development head for projects involving FICO Platform
- Use the Vitality standards approach competently in all work
- Provide guidance to FICO Rules Technical Product Analysts in adherence to these standards
- Use automation and peer review to assess the knowledge and application of the standards.
- Engage internal stakeholders, working across a number of teams, and acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Act as a point of contact for technical discussions and actively participate in design authority meetings to ensure clear understanding of technical requirements
- Support FICO rules team in maintaining frequent dialogue with external stakeholders and keep up to date with emerging FICO technology roadmap
What do you need to thrive:
- 5+ years development experience with FICO Blaze or FICO Platform system (Decision Modeler)
- Experience of using AWS Cloud
- Experience of using work management tools such as Jira, Confluence etc
- 3+ Experience of working in Agile environment
- Experience training and developing junior technical and non-technical members of staff
- Logical thinker who can translate requirements into linear and logical process steps to create automated rule sets;
- Excellent planning, feedback skills and organisational skills;
- Strong communicator and collaborator
