What this role is all about: We’re looking for a Social Media Editor who lives and breathes content creation. This role plays an essential role in driving our strategy through social creative, capturing, editing, animating, and shaping content that connects our community and drives engagement across all platforms.
This person requires strong story-telling ability to seamlessly bring ideas to life across formats and platforms. We’re looking for someone who can create content for all channels, from polished LinkedIn soundbites to low-fi TikToks, the Social Media Editor requires someone who is social savvy, loves the speed of social and the shaping various edits that push the boundaries of each platform.
Key Actions:
- Shape compelling edits for health and wellbeing content across social platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X
- Bring creative concepts to life through high-quality storytelling and polished editing
- Create and manage a library of video assets to support the wider social team
- Capture video in a range of environments, from studio shoots to live events and on-location filming, using both professional cameras and mobile devices
- Develop storyboards that clearly communicate ideas and guide the editing process
- Adapt footage from a single shoot into multiple edits tailored for different platforms
- Work at events to produce and share reactive video content quickly, sometimes outside regular hours, to keep audiences engaged in real time
What do you need to thrive?
- Proven experience editing video content specifically for social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Strong examples of 2D animation that showcase your creativity and motion design skills
- Confident using editing software such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, and others
- A natural storyteller with a creative eye for engaging visual content
- A portfolio or showreel that demonstrates your editing skills and impact
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, delivering quick reactive edits as well as polished, high-quality videos
- A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback and team input
