About The Role
Team – Life Finance
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working!

What this role is all about:
Take the lead within the Credit Control team to monitor and drive down the balance of commission debtors across Life and Health. Liaise with intermediary firms to resolve identified issues and negotiate payment. Take a proactive approach in identifying potential financial risk and report and recommend appropriate risk mitigation to stakeholders. Take ownership of established credit risk mitigation processes and procedures.
Key Actions:
- Liaising with intermediaries and external and internal stakeholders to recover outstanding commission claw back debt
- Ensuring debtors are chased to agreed timescales
- Investigating and resolving queries
- Prepare and distribute statements and reports
- Updating information on the in-house systems
- Conducting due diligence monitoring checks on intermediary firms
- Making credit recommendations to the Group Distribution Credit Risk and Fraud Senior Manager
- Representing Credit Control from time to time at internal and external forums and committees
- Supervise and mentor junior members of the team
What do you need to thrive?
- PC literate with good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and transactional accounting software
- Sound organisational, communication written and verbal, influencing and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of credit control processes and procedures
- Ability to identify and assess financial risks
