Working Pattern – Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Stockport or Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What this role is all about

Responsible for coordinating/being part of small, medium and large scale projects within their functional area. Managing these changes from inception to completion, and the embedding of new processes. The role also acts as a link between operational areas, and SME/BME for other areas such as our Journey and Enterprise areas, Clinical Teams, Enablement areas, IT, Product Owners, R&D team, Supplier Management, External Partners, Internal Comms, Marketing, HR, Resource Planning & MI teams.

Key Actions

  • To initiate and drive business area lead projects initiated from anywhere in the business impacting CSD from inception to completion and post Go Live to ensure that the business intent is effectively and efficiently implemented, with minimal operational impact
  • This includes the capturing of business requirements, analysis of data, business acceptance testing, production proving and upkeep of internal guidance material and communications around changes
  • Creation and management of local project plans, including the tracking of actions and regular status reporting to stakeholders as well as leading/attending meetings to support visibility of progress, risks etc
  • To use product and process knowledge and/or understand key stakeholders for SME insight to contribute to business wide projects that have a bearing on the operational area, in order to ensure that projects improve efficiency performance and deliver the best outcomes for customer, business and colleague
  • Responsible for engaging with Operational leadership teams, key stakeholders who work within or drive change and support change activity when required on system improvements, new requirements, and ongoing continuous improvement and change activity
  • Be confident in having challenging/directional conversations with stakeholders around scope, business requirements, delivery timelines, and operational impact. As well as escalating appropriately where needed
  • Responsible in considering optimum process enhancements i.e. utilising robotics, AI etc. Ensuring process maps, FMEAs, control plans and all project related documents are completed, saving into central libraries ready for compliance/audit review
  • To drive efficiency and continuous improvement using lean six sigma/DMAIC approach
  • To provide direction and visibility for the creation of and ongoing improvement of reports and dashboards as they are required to support business areas and project roll out. Where necessary, work with OPSMI and Ops Managers to ensure report requirements are specified and signed off and submitted and to ensure metric and objectives are clearly defined and tracked pre and post change
  • Support in the review/lead of internal and external audits including tracking/progressing of actions required
  • Lead, drive and maintain all knowledge, process maps and insight tools
  • Regular communications and strategic updates to the Functional Head, Service Director, Heads of areas, Operations Managers and Team Manager population

What you need to thrive

  • Experienced in operational environments (ideally Financial Services)
  • Business change management experience (ideally within an operational environment)
  • Stakeholder relationship management experience
  • Understanding of data analysis and statistics
  • Experience with dealing with product and process changes, and embedding into operational areas
  • Managing operational processes with multiple stakeholders, across business areas and systems
  • Experience in process mapping of operational processes
  • Proven problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
