What this role is all about:

We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering business-critical projects across Vitality on a 12-month FTC. Sitting at the heart of our Business Change function, you’ll work across the full project lifecycle - turning early ideas into clearly defined, well-scoped requirements, supporting solution design with architects, and ensuring what’s delivered meets both business needs and customer outcomes. You’ll assess the impact of proposed changes, manage risks and dependencies, and maintain clear traceability from requirement through to solution. Alongside delivery, you’ll help strengthen how we do analysis at Vitality - championing best practice, improving ways of working and supporting the development of other analysts.

Key Actions:

  • Lead ideation analysis (where required) for new change initiatives
  • Identify and assess the organisational impact of proposed changes
  • Raise and manage project-level risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, providing mitigations and owning items where appropriate
  • Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects to ensure designs meet functional and non-functional requirements
  • Define and support the approach to requirements management from initiation through to delivery
  • Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements across projects and initiatives
  • Provide realistic, robust estimates for analysis deliverables for planning purposes
  • Act as an escalation point for business analysis activities during delivery
  • Proactively identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives within the Business Analysis Practice
  • Peer review BA outputs, providing constructive feedback and ensuring alignment to internal standards
  • Coach and support junior team members where required
  • Adhere to change management protocols in all analysis activity
  • Encourage and support project teams to follow change management processes

What do you need to thrive?

  • Experience engaging stakeholders at all levels across the organisation
  • Strong connection to industry best practice and the Business Analysis profession
  • Experience operating within complex matrix environments
  • Proven track record in producing a range of analysis artefacts
  • Experienced in coaching others on the effective use of analysis artefacts
  • Background working across both Agile and Waterfall environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities
  • Strong understanding of business analysis approaches and methodologies
