Team – Pricing - Actuarial

Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth or London Office. Full time hours. We are happy to discuss flexible working!

What this role is all about:

As a new-generation insurer disrupting the insurtech market, our Actuaries are analytical experts who ensure smooth operations. They analyse data, manage risk, set fair premiums and support long-term financial planning, providing insights that drive decision-making.

As an Actuarial Manager in the Health Pricing team, you’ll lead impactful pricing initiatives aligned with business strategy. You’ll manage your own and others’ work, improve pricing processes and tools, and deliver high-quality outputs.

Key Actions:

  • Build, refine, and maintain pricing models, clearly explaining assumptions
  • Identify and quantify risks, opportunities, and key business drivers
  • Validate model outputs, monitor emerging trends, and support solutions to material business challenges
  • Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Build strong working relationships and support informed decision-making across teams
  • Coach and support colleagues, sharing expertise to encourage continuous learning
  • Deliver high-quality work on time while maintaining a proactive, solutions-focused mindset

What do you need to thrive?

  • Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or equivalent
  • Or student or associate member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or equivalent
  • Knowledge of more advanced visualisation/dashboarding tools such as Power BI
  • Experience of working within financial services, particularly in health or general insurance
  • Knowledge of SQL, writing and editing complex queries to extract and process data, e.g., using SQL Server Management Studio
  • Knowledge of Python and associated data processing libraries (e.g. pandas, numpy)
