Job Description

About The RoleTeam – Underwriting & Claims - LifeWorking Pattern - This can be worked as a hybrid set-up out of our Bournemouth, London or Stockport offices as well as remotely/home based. Full time, 37.5 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working!Top 3 skills needed for this role:
  • Ability to manage workloads independently
  • Ability to collaborate across other divisions of the business
  • Good interpersonal skills 
What this role is all about:You will be underwriting applications for life & serious illness and income protection cover. Providing dedicated support in some instances to Vitality Life priority distribution partners.Key Actions
  • Underwrite applications in accordance with Vitality's underwriting philosophy and quality standards.
  • Support brokers to help manage applications through the underwriting process.
  • Authorisation of applications from less experienced underwriters.
  • Opportunity to feed into Vitality’s underwriting & service propositions.
What do you need to thrive?
  • Broad experience of life underwriting, at least 5 years.
  • Exposure to reinsurance relationships.
  • Experience of working with adviser firms.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
