Working Pattern - Home working however, may be required to go into a Vitality location ad hoc (Stockport, Bournemouth or London)
What this role is all about
- Assess Income Protection claims. Attention to detail and compliance are key as you will be adhering to the industry leading claims practice. This will include obtaining medical information, financial information, and any other information relevant to the assessment of the risk on each claim; adhering to the relevant Service Level Agreement.
- Drafting and issuing claims decision letters and other claims related correspondence. This may include communications to Senior members of staff.
- Liaise with the strategic underwriters, management, reinsurers, and other stakeholders to ensure the swift and correct outcome of a claim.
- Support team members with best practice techniques, medical practice through knowledge sharing.
- Follow internal client service practices which build rewarding relationships and enables exceptional client service.
What You Need To Thrive
- A broad experience in assessing and managing IP claims as detailed above.
- Experience of dealing directly and effectively with the FOS on claims related matters.
- Good experience of working with reinsurers.
- Confident in presenting ideas and training peers.
- Intermediate skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and usual Office apps.
- A detailed knowledge of the UK insurance market and regulatory environment.
