About The RoleTeam – Clinical Leadership TeamWorking Pattern – Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality London Office. Full time, 37.5 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working!Top 3 skills needed for this role:

What this role is all about:This strategic leadership role puts you at the heart of how we define quality, value, and consistency for our members. You’ll take full ownership of performance frameworks, driving innovation and embedding a shared understanding across clinical, administrative, and service teams. With deep experience in private healthcare or insurance, you’ll lead initiatives that align internal stakeholders and external providers. You will help us evolve how we engage with the market.Key Actions
- Drive the development and carrying out of our provider performance framework. This will start with Secondary Care and expanding into Everyday Care, ensuring alignment with business needs and member outcomes
- Support the Commercial Medical Director in delivering strategic initiatives that improve provider utilisation, drive value, and inform broader commercial and clinical strategy
- Own the governance framework for provider performance. This is from design and implementation to monitoring and continuous improvement — ensuring robust oversight and accountability across all provider interactions
- Analyse provider performance data to assess value, cost-effectiveness, and quality, using insights to inform strategic judgements including provider selection, pivoting, and partnership development
- Establish and maintain centralised reporting mechanisms, including non-clinical incidents and SUIs, to support transparency, learning, and continuous improvement across the provider network
- Drive innovation in provider evaluation, using data-led insights to shape commercial partnerships and improve member outcomes across both Everyday Care and Secondary Care
- Lead strategic development processes, from stakeholder engagement and market analysis to implementation and transition to BAU, ensuring initiatives are delivered with precision and impact
- Develop and maintain procurement and contractual standards, working in partnership with legal and clinical teams to ensure agreements meet business, regulatory, and member needs
- Deliver actionable insights across the organisation, tailoring data outputs to stakeholder needs and developing live tools and models to support decision-making and cost management
- Support clinical policy teams in evaluating provider performance, driving clinical engagement and ensuring service delivery meets expected standards
What do you need to thrive?
- Previous experience (>2 years) of strategic management at a senior level
- Experience of procurement and contractual development. within a PMI/Healthcare environment
- Previous experience of leading functions from both a people and strategy perspective
- Track record of fronting successful change initiatives/projects/programmes
- Experience in engaging with and influencing internal and external organisations at all levels
