Team - Technology Enablement
Working Pattern - Hybrid - 2 days per week in any of the Vitality Offices (Bournemouth, London or Stockport). Full time hours. We are happy to discuss flexible working!
What this role is all about
As a Salesforce Technical Consultant, you’ll be a hands‑on technical expert within our Salesforce Enablement Team, shaping platform strategy, governance and innovation across a large‑scale, multi‑cloud Salesforce environment. You’ll apply deep technical knowledge to design, build and optimise solutions that power millions of member and colleague interactions. You will play a key role in the continued growth and success of our Salesforce platform.

Responsibilities
- Platform Strategy: Actively shape and support the strategic direction of the Salesforce platform at Vitality. Focus on enabling technologies such as Data 360 and Agentforce. Collaborate with the Salesforce Enablement Team and Product Delivery Streams to identify opportunities and maximise business value from core and emerging platform capabilities.
- Innovation & Technical Expertise: Prototype and present demos or proof‑of‑concepts to showcase new Salesforce capabilities, emphasising how Agentforce and Data 360 can unlock value for Vitality. Evaluate and recommend new Salesforce features based on release notes, roadmap updates, Salesforce events and product announcements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to business and technical stakeholders, facilitating workshops to elicit, interpret, and refine requirements, mapping these to Salesforce capabilities.
- Governance & Compliance: Work with the Head of Salesforce Enablement to define, refine, and uphold platform standards and governance processes. Collaborate with the Salesforce Data Consultant to ensure alignment on data governance, security and compliance across the platform, including within Data 360. Support and, where appropriate, lead the fulfilment of compliance activities (e.g. audit deliverables, biannual recertification, data governance and access reviews).
- Operational Excellence: Monitor system performance and release processes, and, in collaboration with the wider Salesforce Community of Practice (CoP), identify opportunities for optimisation across IT Operations and CI/CD pipelines.
What you need to thrive
- Educated to degree level in a technology related subject, or evidence of equivalent experience
- Attained core Salesforce certifications (e.g. Platform Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer 1, etc) or evidence experience with the Salesforce platform
- Attained or actively working towards Agentforce Specialist and Data Cloud Consultant
- Experience working on Salesforce products, implementing solutions using a variety of functionality options, including integration with other systems
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working on multiple in‑flight initiatives at any time
- Advanced investigative, analytical, and logical critical thinking skills
- Experience working within Agile methodology and use of governance tools (e.g., Jira/Confluence)
