Team - Microsoft & Shared Applications - Vitality Technology
Working Pattern - Hybrid - 2 days per week in any of the UK Vitality offices (Bournemouth, London or Stockport). Full time hours. We are happy to discuss flexible working!

What this role is all about
In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our core Microsoft infrastructure running at its best, across both on‑premise and cloud. From delivering expert BAU support to guiding junior team members, you’ll help us shape and evolve our technology landscape. You’ll also get hands‑on with roadmap activity and projects, sometimes leading your own small initiatives and working closely with our architects to bring new ideas to life.
Key Actions
- Take ownership of supporting and maintaining Vitality’s core Microsoft infrastructure, both on‑premise and in the cloud, ensuring our systems stay resilient, secure and high‑performing.
- Work closely with our Service Desk teams and trusted third‑party partners to keep Vitality’s IT services running smoothly for our people and customers.
- Drive smarter ways of working by automating and orchestrating services where it adds real value.
- Grow your expertise to SME level, contributing to service roadmaps and playing an active role in business‑critical projects.
- Create and maintain clear, high‑quality documentation that helps the wider team succeed.
- Spot opportunities for technology improvements and work with senior engineers or architects to bring them to life.
- Lead the day‑to‑day support experience, managing incidents, fulfilling requests, and acting as a trusted SME and escalation point for your area.
What do you need to thrive?
- Extensive recent experience in relevant Microsoft disciplines.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Entra ID.
- Experience with Intune, Autopilot, and endpoint security management.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Azure Virtual Desktop Specialist etc).
