Job Description

Lead a team supporting the Head of Maintenance, ensuring 100% regulatory compliance for SYHA assets. Provide quality assurance, accurate and timely data recording, and produce reports on legislative changes affecting the organisation. Maintain an effective legislative and regulatory compliance framework for gas safety, electricity, asbestos, legionella, lifts, fire risk and other statutory obligations. Manage compliance servicing contracts and address issues from asset maintenance. Respond to Damp, Mould and Condensation cases in line with Awaabs law and SYHA policy. Work collaboratively with other Maintenance Managers to monitor servicing and maintenance records. Develop and implement training and development programmes for the compliance team.

Responsibilities

As Compliance Manager you will drive and maintain effective legislative and regulatory compliance in the management of SYHA assets to ensure that SYHA customers live in safe and compliant homes. You will also provide assurance that our assets are well managed and that we achieve regulatory compliance 100% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Excellent team and staff management skills.
  • IT literate in Asset Management software and Excel.
  • Ability to interpret updated legislation and predict implications for SYHA and its customers.
  • Experience in managing maintenance calls with minimal delay.
  • Ability to manage service contracts and solve problems arising from reports.
  • Experience in a similar role within a housing or construction environment.
  • Knowledge of regulations governing gas safety, electricity, asbestos, legionella, lifts, lifting equipment and fire risk.
