About The Role
Team - Direct to Consumer - Health Insurance Sales, Continuation Team
Salary - £27,000 + Approx £12,000 OTB
Working Pattern: Remote and Hybrid positions: Fulltime, 35 hours per week. Shifts between 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. 2 Saturdays per month 10am-2pm. Hybrid - a requirement to attend the Stockport office a minimum of 8 days per calendar month. Remote Working - This role is primarily working from your home address. You will be required to attend the Stockport office once a month on a pre-booked department day, or for any essential training or performance needs. Therefore good travel links are essential. All travel and accommodation costs are paid for Vitality. To qualify for a remote position, you must live over 1 hour's travel time from SK26NG.

You will take inbound calls from customers, establish needs, and review the terms and conditions of their current (PHC/BHC/CHC) and current medical status of the customer to identify the best outcomes for both the customer and Vitality to retain them. You will be self-driven, target motivated with a proven sales background. In return, we will support you with product training and the opportunity to progress your career.
Key Actions:
- You will take inbound calls where you will fact find on potential customers' needs when enquiring about continuing their Private Medical Insurance.
- You will be required to obtain detailed medical history of your customers in order to determine the correct cover and underwriting terms.
- Ability to deliver difficult and challenging messages sensitively around the continuation of cover, eligibility for ongoing conditions and the higher premiums associated with that risk.
- You will understand and ensure compliance levels are met on every interaction.
- You will organise and manage your daily workload, so you continue to keep in touch with your customers, whilst they consider quotes and make changes, ensuring they convert to sales.
Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:
- You will have a proven sales background where you enjoy exceeding targets (minimum of 12 months) and can evidence working to stretching sales targets (API written) as well as KPIs such as conversion rates (Calls, leads, quotes, sales, average premium) and quality measures (NTU rate, QA Score and Complaints).
- Previous experience selling Private Medical Insurance/Other insurance products with an understanding of the application of Underwriting.
- Work effectively with not only direct clients but with our intermediaries and Group Secretaries to provide an exceptional service for our Group Leaver Customers.
- Have a professional approach with the ability to tailor your calls to the customer whilst meeting the compliance standard.
- Be well organised to effectively manage the complex post-sales pipeline and administration tasks.
- Self-motivated to make sure you are up to date with any product changes.
- Team player who shares knowledge and who positively participates in Team meetings and group settings.
- You will be computer literate as you will manoeuvre from different systems to provide quotes and record accurate information.
