About The Role
Team: Strategic Underwriting - Life
Working Pattern: Remote/Home based. Full time, 37.5 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working!
What this role is all about:
The primary function will be to deliver a post-issue underwriting audit programme of policies automatically accepted through VitalityLife's underwriting engine to determine the accuracy of application disclosures. Additionally, responsibilities will include some involvement in the BAU new business underwriting quality audit and the retrospective underwriting of claims.
Key Actions:
- Ensure a robust post-issue underwriting non-disclosure QA programme is in place, working with Operational colleagues; ensure post-issue communications are sound and evidence collation is appropriate.
- Review monthly random and targeted samples of automated underwriting system decisions, completing findings on the post-issue audit log and issuing a monthly summary report.
- Ascertain the non-disclosure rate of policies across each distribution channel, supporting training and development by identifying and reporting trends where non-disclosure can be improved.
- Liaise with the Automated Underwriting Team to recommend improvements to question sets and/or underwriting philosophy and suggest enhancements to data collection to maintain an effective audit process.
