Team Prevention and Health Improvement

Working Pattern - Hybrid 2 days per week in the Vitality London Office. Full time, 37.5 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working!

What this role is all about:

Are you ready to be in charge of transformative change in healthcare? In this pivotal role, you'll drive the evolution of our External Digital Care (EDC) partnerships enhancing access, reducing costs, and improving patient experiences and outcomes. From overseeing day-to-day operations to spearheading strategic innovation, you'll optimise performance across a diverse portfolio of services. This includes Virtual GP (VGP), face-to-face GP, Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP), Pharmacy, and GP-led specialist pathways. You'll be at the heart of building strong partner relationships and refining the platforms and pathways that power them. As our portfolio and team expand, so will your impact.

Key Actions:

  • Deliver against key strategic objectives relating to accessibility of services, member experience, patient outcomes and cost control.
  • Lead day-to-day operational relationships and strategic reviews with key EDC partners. When needed, the smooth exiting of existing partners and the efficient scouting, commissioning, and onboarding of new partners.
  • Manage performance of partnership delivery against key commercial and member objectives, with a data driven approach to proactive issue and opportunity identification.
  • Effectively manage partner risk and compliance including safeguarding and vulnerable member monitoring. Proactively overseeing complaints processes, escalating risks and reviewing systems and processes as required.
  • Work with relevant business teams on contracts, commercial reviews, certifications and audits, with ownership and delivery of outcomes.
  • Manage day-to-day operational effectiveness between partners and business operational teams while contributing effectively to operational change projects as the business owner and partner subject matter expert.
  • Proactively manage impactful stakeholder communications throughout the business, from leadership reports and updates to operational team training and engagement.
  • Support the team Director in business case development and executive level presentations for approvals and presenting to external audiences as and when required e.g. distribution partners.

  • Strong leadership experience - You will proactively manage, engage and collaborate with stakeholders at a senior level in a clear and decisive manner, taking ownership, driving strategy and delivering against cost/benefit targets.
  • Healthcare domain expertise - To innovate, design and deliver commercially viable, patient centric healthcare pathways and services, with experience in implementing care delivery governance and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - driving win-win outcomes through shared goals, negotiations and effective and efficient communications.
  • Effective operational delivery - combining project management, change management, continuous improvement and process management skills with excellent cross-functional team leadership and engagement.
  • Data driven - Ability to effectively analyse and report on data trends from partners and work with teams to proactively identify issues and trends.
  • Personal - You are able to work in a dynamic environment, dealing with multiple stakeholders and balancing day to day tasks with strategy while contributing to project teams for change delivery.
