About Us
Vitality Care Ltd is a company very much in its infancy, we are looking for an experienced manager to get us Ofsted approved for a children's care home that we are looking to set up and spearhead the business. We are a family of very well experienced entrepreneurs looking to get a foot into the care sector. If you are looking for a fresh challenge, and grow a new business from scratch with a strong team, then this may be of interest.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain Ofsted approval
- Hire, lead, inspire, and manage the care team to deliver exceptional, person-centred care
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and internal quality standards
- Oversee day-to-day operations, staffing, and customer relationships
- Develop and grow the service in line with company values and business goals
- Support staff recruitment, training, and retention initiatives
- Build strong links with customers, families, and local partners
Requirements - Key Qualifications & Experience
- Level 5 Diploma: The standard is the Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Experience: Several years in residential childcare, with at least two as a senior or deputy manager.
- Social Work Degree: A social work qualification can also meet requirements.
Essential Knowledge
- Legislation: Deep understanding of the Children Act 1989, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and safeguarding laws.
- Therapeutic Approaches: Knowledge of therapeutic childcare models.
- Safeguarding: Expertise in child protection procedures and best practices.
Core Skills & Attributes
- Leadership: Motivating teams, managing change, appraisals, and conflict resolution.
- Communication: Excellent verbal, listening, and written skills for staff, children, families, and agencies.
- Interpersonal: Patience, empathy, sensitivity, integrity, and teamwork.
- Management: Organisation, attention to detail, computer literacy, and financial awareness.
- Well-being: Demonstrating physical and mental fitness for the role.
