Job Description

Youth Offending Team Officer, BarnetPay rate to £28.79 per hour Contract roleVitalis are recruiting for an experienced Youth Offending Team Officer to work in a team in Barnet. Candidate will lead on the assessment and delivery of Out of Court Disposals within the service including triage, Community Resolution, Youth Cautions and at high volume times, with Youth Conditional Cautions. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality Prevention and Diversion Assessments (PDAT), attending Moving Forward planning meetings, Out of Court Disposal panel (OOCD) and tailored interventions. All will reflect the Child First principle – prioritising the needs, rights and strengths of children to promote their positive development and desistance from offending. Key Responsibilities • Undertake holistic assessments of children referred for Out of Court Disposals using PDAT. • Deliver evidence-based interventions that are child-centred, trauma-informed and outcome-focused. • Work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary partners to ensure wraparound support. • Maintain accurate, timely and reflective case records that contribute to inspection readiness and service improvement. • Assisting with YJS Duties as part of a rota system.  Work with Vitalis to Discover Exciting Opportunities in Qualified Social Work, Housing and SEND
