Qualified Social Worker, Looked After Children’s Team
Pay rate to £46.18 per hour
Contract role
Vitalis is recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work in a Looked After Children Team in St Helens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Duty Week: Every 4 weeks, covering referrals and assessments for the locality. Complete Section 47 enquiries, respond to urgent referrals/visits, and carry out Child and Family Assessments.
- Ongoing Casework: Involves long-term work including Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), PLO, and court proceedings. Experience in CIN and CP is essential. PLO/court experience is desirable but not mandatory; support will be provided for those willing to learn.
- Flexibility: Open to candidates with CIC experience, enthusiastic about transitioning into CP work, and understanding practice differences.
