Vitalis is recruiting an experienced Social Worker for a Duty and Assessment team in Blackburn. Blackburn with Darwen Children’s Services, recently graded ‘good’ in its ILACS Ofsted inspection, requires a full-time agency social worker to cover in its Duty, Assessment & CIN Service as soon as possible.

The candidate should have at least 3 years post-qualification experience in Duty and Assessment and/or longer-term Safeguarding/CP/Court work. A SWE registration and a driver’s license are essential. Experience with Protocol Liquid Logic is advantageous but not mandatory.

You must possess good communication skills, be a team player, and able to work independently managing a caseload. There will be both office-based and home working arrangements, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
