Vitalis is recruiting an experienced Social Worker for an Assistant Team Manager position within a Duty team in St Helens. This role supports the team manager in operational management of the duty team, responding to safeguarding children and children in need. The Duty team handles referrals from MASH, conducts assessments, and develops support plans for children and families.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience managing child protection inquiries, facilitating care and strategy meetings, CWLA, and court processes. The role involves managing performance, mentoring staff, handling complex cases, and chairing meetings, including strategy meetings. Strong communication, organizational skills, and understanding of performance metrics are essential.
The role requires working in a hybrid model, with in-office duty weeks and two days remote work per week.
