Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to work in a Safeguarding team in Middlesborough Council.
- To undertake a comprehensive Social Work service to Children and Families who need support under Child in Need (S17) and Child Protection (Section 47), including PLO and Public Law proceedings work.
- To formulate and design appropriate plans to meet identified needs and to arrange the implementation of such plans, including the chairing of core groups and CIN meetings.
- To provide appropriate ongoing support to individuals and families as the key worker, this will include home visits, meetings, direct work/observations, completion of reports and assessments in relation to the child’s lived experience, including reports for initial and review child protection conferences, and looked after reviews.
- To ensure that individual professional standards are maintained in line with agreed levels, including full compliance with policy and procedural guidelines and accepting primary responsibility for the level and quality casework recording.
- To feed back to the Team Manager any issues in relation to the effective provision of services or policies during regular supervisions.
- To record clearly and accurately the work undertaken on a child’s file.
