Contract role in a Learning Disability Centre, Vulnerable Adults
Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager within Adult Social Care in West London. This is to work in a Learning Disability Centre Day Centre with Vulnerable Adults.
- Situated within an ASC Day Centre setting within a London Borough, we are seeking a Deputy Manager to support the manager and team in the delivery of high-quality ‘person centred’ support to vulnerable adults with a Learning Disability, physical disability, Autism and Challenging Behaviour. Experience of partnership working with internal and external colleagues including Social Workers and supported living providers is essential.
- The postholder is required to take full operational responsibility for Ashchurch Centre in the absence of the Manager. We are looking for an individual who can work independently, at pace, and off own initiative in ensuring the service is managed safely with an emphasis/responsibility in promoting Safeguarding, as well as ensuring health & safety regulations are adhered to.
- Senior Management are actively seeking an organised and communicative ’hands on’ Deputy, who leads by example and has an appetite for ensuring the service is run efficiently, working with external providers to establish and implement targeted & robust activities for our service users.
- The role will include line managing a small staff team of 5 Day Opportunity Support Workers. Continuity and consistency through effective staff support, supervision and communication is key.
- Experience in governance, HR/recruitment and referrals are advantageous.
- 4 Days minimum on-site working is necessary for this post.
