Pay rate c. £40 per hour
Contract role, Local Government Housing
We are recruiting for an experienced Local Authority Manager for the Heat Network Registration Programme in North London
You will need knowledge of heat networks, district heating or energy infrastructure; local government or housing experience for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, mobilisation and delivery of the Heat Network Registration Programme.
- Develop programme plans, milestones and reporting frameworks.
- Oversee collection, validation and submission of Ofgem registration data.
- Oversee registration with the Energy Ombudsman.
- Manage and coordinate external specialist consultants, contractors and advisers, ensuring delivery of agreed outputs, compliance requirements, programme milestones and value for money.
- Work collaboratively with the Council's appointed specialist heat network consultants, providing client-side project management, oversight and coordination to ensure delivery of all technical, regulatory and programme outputs.
- Work closely with the leads for the 3 workstreams (Asset identification & Technical Data, Finance, Billing & Service Charges, and Residents, Complaints & Vulnerabilities) and other relevant officers.
- Establish governance, risk and issue management processes.
- Prepare reports and briefings for senior management.
- Manage programme budgets and ensure value for money.
- Ensure all registrations are completed within required timescales.
This is a contract role and you will need to have experience in a similar role in a Local Authority setting.
