Who are VitalHub?

VitalHub aspire to accelerate the delivery of digital transformation at scale, supporting healthcare organisations internationally to improve how they capture and analyse data. This helps enhance patient flow and enables better coordination of care across planned and unplanned services, mental health, workforce, and compliance.

The Opportunity:

The Solutions Consultant is a customer-facing role responsible for supporting the design, positioning, and delivery of VitalHub UK’s solutions across key NHS domains, with this role focused on Elective and Planned Care, specifically outpatients and patient access. You will apply credible sector knowledge, structured diagnostic approaches, and practical solution design to help customers achieve measurable operational and clinical improvement, with particular strength in elective recovery priorities and the operational mechanics of outpatient and elective pathways.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Consultancy Delivery & Customer Value: Deliver consultancy engagements across trusts and Integrated Care Systems, including diagnostic audits, pathway assessments, capability reviews, and improvement recommendations. Work with customer stakeholders to understand operational challenges, define goals, and establish success measures aligned to NHS priorities. Produce clear, evidence-driven outputs that translate findings into practical recommendations and implementation-ready next steps. Support Customer Success and Implementation teams to integrate consultancy findings into adoption planning, optimisation work, and measurable outcome tracking.
  • Sector expertise and insight: Develop and maintain strong, up-to-date understanding of Elective and Planned Care, with specific expertise in outpatients and patient access services, and working awareness across the wider portfolio. Stay informed on relevant NHS policy, operational pressures, and digital transformation agendas, reflecting this in consultancy delivery and solution design.
  • Solution Design & Portfolio Enablement: Translate operational challenges into digital, workflow, and data-driven solution designs that reflect VitalHub’s product capability and implementation realities. Bring a strong understanding of elective and outpatients operational workflows and the enabling digital landscape, using this to shape practical solution designs and adoption approaches.
  • Sales & Commercial Support: Partner with Sales and Bid teams to support pre-sales activity, including discovery, solution scoping, demonstrations, and tender responses. Provide elective and outpatients subject matter leadership in commercial opportunities, bringing credibility on elective recovery, RTT considerations, and patient access operations.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in a customer-facing role in healthcare, health tech, consultancy, implementation, or service improvement, ideally within the NHS ecosystem.
  • Demonstrable subject matter expertise in elective care and outpatients operations, including patient access services and strong working knowledge of RTT policy.
  • Practical experience of outpatient booking processes and the operational ways of working that support outpatient and elective services.
  • Strong ability to translate operational challenges into digital and workflow-based solutions, balancing customer needs with product capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across executive, clinical, and operational audiences.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience supporting bids, tenders, and formal procurement processes within the NHS.
