Vitale work in partnership with local charitiesto run help hubs across the local area supporting those in the community who are elderly or have other disadvantages. The aim of the help hubs is to offer guidance and support allowing individuals to overcome barriers that prevent them from living their lives to their fullest potential. These barriers could include finances, benefits, housing, energy support and later life planning. The role of Community Engagement Support Worker is key. Main responsibilities may include but not exhaustive to: Form Filling Completing online and paper applications including but not limited to LPA documents, blue badge applications and attendance allowances applications. Reviewing documents to ensure data has been input correctly. Partnership Working Networking and building relationships with other partnership agencies to work jointly with. Making referrals for clients to other agencies for support. Ensure clients are received adequate support via other agencies and advocate for them where required. Supporting volunteers who run community groups where the Help Hubs are held. Emotional Support Communicating effectively and sensitively when imparting information that could be highly stressful and emotional. Have good listening skills and be able to offer emotional support to someone who is upset or in crisis. Gently encourage clients to participate in groups to help combat loneliness and isolation. Vitale Care Comply with policies and procedures Attend mandatory training, one-to-one supervisions and meetings where required Promote good practice and report poor practice or concerns Essential qualifications & experience: An understanding of and/or experience in care Full UK Driving License Access to a car that you can use for work The right to work in the UK Other skills and attributes: You’ll be highly organised and reliable You’ll be willing to learn new skills and to adapt You’ll have a positive, can-do attitude You are a great communicator, listening, speaking and writing You’ll be a team player You are passionate about delivering the highest standard of care #J-18808-Ljbffr
