Vital Power is looking for a Regional Service Engineer to join our growing team in the South of England. As a Regional Service Engineer, you will have an integral role within the service team, assisting in the delivery of the business's on-site activities.

  • Cover all aspects of generator servicing including oil and filter changes and oil, fuel, and coolant sampling.
  • Conduct load bank testing on customer-owned generator units.
  • Accurately fault find and diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Work on a broad range of generator/engine brands including (but not limited to) Cummins, Perkins, Caterpillar, John Deere, Volvo, Scania, Iveco, and Dorman.
  • Complete all types of engine repairs (both mechanical and electrical).
  • Assist with mechanical engine rebuilds / top-end overhauls.
  • Assist with projects where required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of both mechanical and electrical skill sets.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in similar generator services companies or within the power generation industry.
  • Valid CSCS/ECS card.
  • Willingness to undertake further training as required for professional development.
  • Brand-specific generator training courses.
  • Controls systems training courses.
  • Electrical qualifications – City & Guilds, 17th/18th edition.
