This role operates on a hybrid basis, with a minimum requirement of three days per week in our Chester Operations Centre. The position follows standard working hours of Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00.

Job Overview – You will be responsible for identifying relevant opportunities and then leading the delivery of successful bids, from the first stage of the process through to the contract closure.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • CRM Management: Maintain high standards of data integrity within the CRM, including up-to-date customer details, sales opportunities, document records, and note keeping. Research, oversee, and manage the lead portal to seek out opportunities for the company to provide its services to new construction projects happening in the UK. Utilise the companies own CRM system and database to proactively identify opportunities to offer the companies services to existing contacts, including any lapsed accounts. Drive customer engagement and satisfaction through bespoke communication strategies, utilising system ability. Effectively manage customer queries, feedback, and post-sales support through the CRM system. Collaborate with the business development team, and other departments to align CRM strategies with wider business objectives. Liaise with Marketing department to develop promotional material to assist with your proposals, where applicable.
  • Bid Writing: Manage the tender portal to identify any relevant public sector contracts that are due to expire and register interest. Responsible for drafting, reviewing, writing, and submitting high-quality and persuasive tender responses, liaising with technical specialists across the business for relevant input. Gather all relevant paperwork and documents in order to accurately and efficiently draft highest quality and successful tender bids. Use the systems and portals available to you to build up a pipeline forecast of expiring contracts and plan tender responses for these. Liaise with appropriate Management and Business Development teams to identify potential bidding opportunities in line with the wider business goals and manage the opportunity tracking process. Build and manage effective working relationships with customers. Complete bid planning documents including bid summaries, project plans, gap analysis and other documents. Provide updates and reviews of standard professional documentation in relation to bids. Positively and professionally represent the business at all times.
