Morson Vital are looking for a Permanent M & E Site Manager for a site 20 miles North of Inverness.

Making Possible

  • Support the M&E Management team and provide M&E advice to the wider project team.
  • Manage and supervise M&E subcontractors to ensure safe, timely, and quality delivery of works.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, progress reports, and QA documentation.
  • Coordinate M&E activities with other trades to ensure efficient integration and sequencing.
  • Monitor progress against programme and escalate delays, risks, and opportunities.
  • Review and approve M&E Contractors’ RAMS (Activity Schedules) before their work commences on site.
  • Promote and enforce a strong health & safety culture in line with RAMS and site procedures.
  • Carry out regular inspections to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and standards.
  • Lead QA/QC inspections, walkdowns, and manage snagging and defect close-out.
  • Support implementation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure documentation is completed.
  • Resolve on-site coordination and installation issues in a proactive and timely manner.
  • Maintain good working relationship with all stakeholders and liaise with the client, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain effective communication.
  • Attend and contribute to site meetings, providing updates on progress and key issues.
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with company procedures, project requirements and statutory regulations.
  • Drive productivity and efficiency to minimise rework and support cost control.
  • Identify and report project risks, opportunities, and potential improvements.
  • Provide strong, visible leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient site operations.
  • Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time.

What do you bring to the role?

The following are mandatory requirements:

  • 5–10 years’ experience in Building Services / MEP projects, preferably >£20M value.
  • Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
  • SMSTS and CSCS card holder.
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards (e.g. IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671 – 18th Edition).
  • Inspection & Testing Qualifications City & Guilds 2391.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and construction drawings.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven track record in QA/QC, inspections, and defect close-out.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Organised, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities on site.
