Senior Buyer Permanent – office based Birmingham Up to £50,000 annum An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Buyer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation working on major urban infrastructure programmes. Based in Birmingham, you’ll be responsible for leading procurement activities across materials, plant, and subcontract services — ensuring value, compliance, and performance from the supply chain. You’ll provide professional procurement support to delivery teams, lead on subcontract procurement, and act as a vital link between internal stakeholders and external suppliers. This is a fantastic role for someone looking to make a real impact in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. What We’re Looking For: * 3+ years in a senior procurement role (construction/civil engineering). * Strong commercial awareness and contract management skills. * MCIPS (or working towards) preferred. * Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement tools. * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Key Responsibilities: * Lead subcontract procurement and supplier engagement. * Implement supply chain strategies and manage risk. * Draft contracts and coordinate tendering processes. * Ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. * Support continuous improvement across procurement activities.
