We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a leading construction contractor on a major project in Limerick.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineering professional to take on a key leadership role, overseeing site engineering activities, ensuring quality standards are maintained, and supporting the successful delivery of a large-scale construction project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all engineering activities on site.
- Manage setting out, dimensional control, and survey requirements.
- Provide leadership and support to Site Engineers and Junior Engineers.
- Ensure as-built surveys and engineering records are completed accurately.
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance and compliance.
- Prepare and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and drive close-out actions.
- Review and prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Coordinate Temporary Works activities and support lifting operations.
- Manage technical queries and the RFI process.
- Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and management to ensure successful project delivery.
About You
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a Senior Engineer or Site Engineer position on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and construction best practices.
- Experience managing setting out and survey activities.
- Knowledge of Temporary Works and site-based health & safety requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve technical issues effectively.
