Role Overview
We are recruiting Civil Engineers to support delivery of the Smart Metering Programme, a key investment programme focused on reducing leakage and improving network resilience. The role involves undertaking civil activities and reinstatement in the public highway. All works must be delivered in accordance with technical standards, Street Works legislation, and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver smart meter installations to specifications
- Undertake associated civil works including excavation, pipe exposure, chamber alterations, and reinstatement
- Carry out works safely and compliantly as a NRSWA qualified Civil Operative
- Ensure all reinstatements meet SROH asset standards
- Identify and report defects, leakage issues, legacy installations, or network anomalies in line with process
- Accurately complete job records, asset updates, handheld device inputs, and smart meter commissioning documentation
- Liaise professionally with customers, supervisors and partners
- Maintain vehicles, tools, plant, and PPE to company standards
Required Qualifications

- Full UK Driving Licence
