Role Summary
We require a Construction Assurance Specialist to ensure works are completed to a high standard, on schedule, and in compliance with Network Rail standards. The role involves proactive issue resolution, quality inspections, and adherence to key NR standards, including:
- NR/L2/RSE/CONM/001 Construction Management for Projects
- NR/L2/MTC/089 Asset Data Exchange & Maintenance (AMP)
- NR/L2/P3M/201 Project Acceleration (PACE)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections, documentation, and quality assurance of construction activities.
- Verify workmanship and quality against specifications, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and QMS documentation.
- Support in-situ testing, liaising with site labs and the Quality Manager.
- Identify defects, halt works if necessary, and assist in rapid resolution (including NCRs).
- Assist in witnessing tests, reviewing ITPs, and maintaining quality records.
- Develop quality checklists to ensure compliance across all construction activities.
- Collaborate with the project team to optimise quality and productivity.
- Liaise with designers and client supervisors to resolve issues.
- Promote health and safety compliance on-site.
- Monitor progress to ensure on-schedule delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification (mandatory).
- Proven experience in heavy civils construction within rail.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Specification for Highway Works
- Construction quality standards
- Rail industry quality practices
