As a Yard Hand at Flogas, you’ll keep our delivery drivers on the move and our customers connected to the energy they need. You’ll fill LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) cylinders, load them onto vehicles and trailers, supervise bulk vessel filling and put safety first every time. At Flogas, "If it’s not safe, it’s not done." Responsibilities
- Safely fill LPG cylinders following strict safety regulations and operating procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure efficient stock control of LPG cylinders, managing supply and demand levels for smooth daily operations.
- Safely load and unload LPG cylinders from vehicles and trailers, ensuring secure handling and correct stacking procedures.
- Follow strict health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with Flogas operating procedures and HSE guidelines.
- Identify and report near‑misses and workplace hazards, promoting a proactive safety culture.
- Handle heavy objects using correct manual handling techniques and lifting aids where necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong team spirit, initiative and the ability to multitask — ensuring everything is sorted efficiently and safely for colleagues and customers.
- Ability to handle heavy cylinders safely.
- Commitment to protecting everyone’s health, safety and wellbeing in all that you do.
- A reliable, flexible and communicative approach, working clearly with teammates and customers.
- Experience with safe handling and storage of dangerous goods and a counterbalance forklift truck licence is desirable; training will be provided if required.
- A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
