Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated Junior Buyer / Planner to join our team in a newly created position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their procurement or supply chain career who is looking to build their experience within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

The Role

  • Support the efficient flow of materials and finished goods across the business, helping to ensure production runs smoothly while maintaining strong supplier relationships and effective inventory management.
  • Play a key role in balancing supply and demand, supporting procurement strategies, and contributing to ongoing improvements within the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement of materials and goods, ensuring purchasing decisions align with inventory requirements.
  • Support demand forecasting and planning activities to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure production schedules are met.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure contract commitments are delivered, including pricing agreements, delivery schedules, and quality expectations.
  • Conduct cost and supplier performance analysis, identifying opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure materials meet required specifications and are available when needed.
  • Purchase finished goods from external suppliers in line with MRP requirements and customer delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and planning data within ERP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Experience

  • Around 1–2 years’ experience in a procurement, planning, or supply chain role.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Advanced excel level experience is essential).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Professional procurement or supply chain certification would be advantageous but not essential.
