We are an energy solutions provider who design, build, operate and maintain low carbon energy projects supporting our clients to decarbonise their buildings. We are seeking motivated and talented individuals with an interest in the energy sector to join us on our journey.
Responsibilities
- Developing knowledge and understanding of building services design principles electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems within a building.
- Using project management systems during the construction process in order to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
- Working alongside the commercial team to understand contractual agreements, review the financial performance of a project and support the procurement process.
- Understanding H&S requirements and how to comply with safe working practices.
- Managing day to day activities on site which are relevant to your skills, training and experience.
- Assisting testing and commissioning activities on site.
- Producing technical reports using engineering terminology.
- Developing your communication skills by delivering Health & Safety toolbox talks, liaising with sub-contractors and producing project reports.
- Applying appropriate building services engineering principles, techniques and methods, including mathematical, scientific and technical know‑how, to building services engineering and the construction or manufacturing process.
- Applying key principles, techniques and methods of data and technical information collection, analysis and evaluation to support the delivery of building services engineering models (such as Building Information Modelling), designs and technical solutions.
- Operating computer‑based software packages, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) or modelling software (Revit) to produce and present technical information and documentation with relevant conventions and engineering terminology.
- Applying statutory health, safety and welfare policies, procedures and regulations in the building services engineering environment, using risk management processes, procedures and documentation.
- Supporting and contributing to the production or modification of building services engineering technical solutions in accordance with relevant industry standards, procedures, codes of practice, regulations and legislation, such as the Building Safety legislation.
- Applying principles of sustainable development, including those relating to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG), environmental policies and legislations in building services engineering projects, recognising the need to reduce carbon use, lower emissions and wider sustainability.
- Planning, carrying out and managing own work in line with quality assurance systems and processes, recognising the wider implications to customer needs and within cost and resource limitations.
- Considering equality, diversity and inclusion in the delivery of building services engineering projects.
- Applying document control processes and procedures using the approved processes, maintaining quality compliance when creating or amending engineering documentation.
- Communicating using appropriate methods for the audience, incorporating relevant and appropriate terms, standards and data.
- Applying ethical principles to building services engineering projects, including the secure use of data and information.
- Planning, undertaking and reviewing own professional competence, regularly updating and reviewing CPD to improve performance.
Apprenticeship Progression
You will have the opportunity to gain experience in all departments within our business with site based work placements on projects across the UK whilst learning and working alongside a team of experienced designers, project managers, engineers and commercial managers. From Heat Networks, Energy Centres, Water Source Heat Pumps to Heat Interface Units and Metering & Billing Solutions you will help us to shape the future of energy provision. Upon successful completion of your Level 3 qualification it continues and upwards as you progress on to a degree apprenticeship qualification in your chosen specialism.

Recruitment & Conditions
- Competitive wage offered – check minimum wage rates; our standard rate is above the national apprenticeship rate and we may, at the company’s discretion, apply a further pay increment on successful completion of a 6‑month probation period.
- Training course: Building services engineering technician 2022 (level 3).
- Hours: Monday – Friday (between) 8.00 am – 5.00 pm – start/finish times will vary depending on department (38 hours a week).
- Start date: Monday 7 September 2026.
- Duration: 2 years.
