Supply Chain Manager Would you like to be part of Vital Energi’s 5-year Strategy of Growth? If so, due to continuing success, we are experiencing rapid and extensive growth in all business sectors, and we are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager ideally with a successful background in the world of M&E. You will join our Commercial team to develop our supply chain capability and help to drive the transformation of Vital Energi through embracing innovative ideas, opportunities and solutions to enhance productivity through a sustainable approach to local long-term profitability and value adding. What you will be doing: * Carry out the daily management and operation of procurement & supply chain systems, processes and procedures to support both the function and wider business ensuring the timely communication of information to support business needs in relation to the following: * Support the Commercial Managers and Directors in continual development, management, feedback and improvement of the supply chain to achieve high performance in key categories. * Assisting in the development and management of initial assessment, on-going assessment and final feedback systems for the supply chain, including workload, demand forecasts, turnover and resource requirements for key categories. * Carry out ongoing performance evaluation and development of key supply chain members. * Control and setup the provision of supply chain events across areas of responsibility, providing reports to key areas of the business to ensure that benefits are captured in line with client and business expectations. * Proactively supports bid teams in work winning, strategic supplier selection, supply chain solutions, bid submissions, innovation, etc. * Manage relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify and forecast business requirements. * Lead group wide category strategies, creating and implementing sourcing strategies ensuring implementation of supply chain management strategy throughout the business units. * Implement local supply chain strategies and engage with suppliers for project delivery * Improve supply chain relationships with key supply chain members to provide Vital Energi with high performing key delivery partners. * Demonstrate effective and robust supplier relationship management, and commercial awareness to support the business requirements. * Liaise with project delivery teams to highlight and investigate supply chain management issues and escalate as appropriate. * Support business units in the integration of key suppliers into the business process. * Own the management and upkeep of all supply chain systems, processes and procedures. * Provide support to the project teams in the governance and verification of supply chain status for all subcontractor requirements. Who we are looking for: * A Supply Chain Manager with a successful portfolio and good understanding of supply chain management processes within a similar related environment. * Membership or studying for Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply (CIPS) qualifications or equivalent professional qualification * Relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial roles, including subcontract and materials procurement practices and processes. * Experience engaging with existing and prospective suppliers and subcontractors, including interfacing at senior management level. * Familiarity with sub-contract and supplier terms and conditions, as well as managing tenders/bids. * Full UK manual driving licence What you’ll get in return * Attractive salary (dependent upon experience) * Company car or car allowance * Contributory Company Pension Scheme * Non-contributory death-in-service insurance * Employee Assistance Programme * 25 Days Holiday plus 8 days bank holidays/ Option to purchase/sell additional holidays * Additional holidays awarded in line with length of service * Onsite gym/ wellbeing centre at our Blackburn Head Office * EV charging points where possible Applications will be processed within 28 days of receipt.
