The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and dynamic Senior Talent Resourcer to join our growing Talent team, at our Head Office, Blackburn. We’re looking for a Senior Talent Resourcer with exceptional headhunting instincts, sharp market awareness, and the drive to find and attract the very best talent across a variety of essential departments across the business. As a Senior Talent Resourcer at Vital Energi, you will play a key role in identifying, attracting, and recruiting high-calibre candidates for essential roles, particularly within Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Design, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and a variety of other technical & projects positions. In this role, you will be responsible for proactively sourcing, screening, and selecting top talent across departments to ensure the continued success of our company. As the first point of contact for potential employees, you will play a crucial role in building relationships and promoting our employer brand. This role is perfect for someone who has a passion for recruitment (especially Headhunting), enjoys working in a fast-paced/ fun environment and who has the ability to work on a variety of roles across different areas of the business.

We are supporting Hospitals, Universities, New Build developments, Towns and Cities as well as Industrial and Commercial clients to decarbonise their buildings. We have and continue to work on ground-breaking projects throughout the UK that is making a difference to achieve our Net Zero targets; even recently being recognised for this by our Industry Association when they awarded us the ‘Contribution to Net Zero’ award. With our People Strategy to double our headcount over the next 4-5 years already well underway, there has never been a more exciting time to join Vital Energi.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source and engage with candidates using a headhunting approach with a variety of platforms, including job boards, LinkedIn, and industry-specific networks.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs and deliver quality talent in line with business requirements.
  • Talent Pooling potential future candidates.
  • Provide regular reports/updates to the Talent Acquisition Manager when required.
  • Conduct initial screening interviews to assess candidate suitability for open positions.
  • Working within the People functions to positively contribute to the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all candidate interactions and recruitment activities in our ‘soon to be launched’ applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Develop and implement creative recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Promote and enhance the company’s employer brand through engagement with potential candidates and active participation in recruitment events.
  • Foster relationships with candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Represent Vital Energi as an employer of choice, promoting our values and the exciting projects we’re involved in.
  • Support the People Team and Talent Acquisition Manager with other talent development initiatives.

About You:

  • Proven experience as an internal recruiter, talent acquisition specialist, or similar role. Ideally from a Construction or Engineering background.
  • Successful headhunting approach (LinkedIn, other platforms).
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and candidate sourcing techniques.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple hiring projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage multiple, varied roles at once.

The Package:

  • Attractive Salary (dependent upon experience).

  • Hours of work 08:00am-4:30pm Mon- Thurs, Friday 3pm finish. Fundamentally office base in Blackburn, HQ, with the possibility of working from home 1 day per week after probation.
