Regional Operations Manager
The Opportunity
Vital Energi are excited to announce that we’re looking for an experienced and driven Regional Operations Manager to lead operational excellence across the North of England and Scotland region for our O&M business unit, overseeing sites and engineers across the North of England and Scotland.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will be accountable for regional operational performance, ensuring the successful delivery of contracts whilst driving commercial performance and margin growth.
You will champion compliance, customer satisfaction, and service quality, ensuring the highest standards are consistently achieved across all operations.
Leading a team of Contract Managers and Operations Managers, you will provide strategic direction, foster a high- performance culture, and support the development of your teams to deliver exceptional results for our customers and stakeholders

The Role
You will lead the regional delivery of Operations and Maintenance contracts, ensuring safe, compliant, efficient, and commercially effective performance across all sites, contracts, and customer portfolios.
Providing clear leadership, direction, and governance to Contract Managers and Operations Managers, you will ensure contractual obligations, operational standards, financial targets, and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
- Lead, support and develop Contract Managers and Operations Managers to deliver regional business objectives.
- Provide coaching, performance management and development plans to strengthen leadership capability across the region.
- Oversee the commercial and operational performance of all regional contracts, ensuring contractual obligations, service levels and financial targets are achieved.
- Review contract performance, margin, risk and forecasting with Contract Managers, ensuring corrective actions are agreed and implemented where required.
- Support contract renewals, variations, rebids, DILAPs and Small Works opportunities to strengthen commercial return and customer retention.
- Ensure financial governance, budget control, cost management and accurate reporting across the region.
- Ensure consistent delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities across the region in line with contractual requirements.
- Lead the standardisation and transformation of operational processes, driving consistency, efficiency, and improved service delivery across the organisation.
- Build and maintain senior relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, suppliers and partners.
- Ensure regional compliance with statutory requirements, company policies, contractual obligations and HSE standards.

Skills & Experience
- Proven senior operational leadership experience across multi-site or regional delivery environments.
- Strong experience of contract management, operational delivery, budget ownership and P&L performance.
- Demonstrable ability to lead leaders, develop high-performing teams and hold people accountable for delivery.
- Strong customer relationship, commercial awareness, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Excellent analytical, planning, problem-solving and decision-making capability.
- Sound understanding of health, safety, quality, compliance and operational governance requirements.
