Mechanical Design Engineer - Fabrication

Due to our ongoing growth, we are looking for a number of Mechanical Design Engineers to join our growing teams based in our London, Blackburn and Glasgow office.

As part of the Engineering Design team you will be involved in producing a broad range of conceptual to fully detailed designs covering things such as District and Communal Heating Systems, Energy Centres, Trigeneration Solutions and Heat Pumps. Due to the nature of the role you will be involved in projects at a variety of stages and locations utilising a range of technologies requiring initial conceptual work, site investigations, surveys, client meetings, project submissions and presentations.

• Supporting the design of distributed energy schemes, energy centres, district heating networks and other major projects
• Maintaining an awareness of cost implications within the design process
• Dealing with design issues and minimising their impact
• Conducting HAZOP studies and Risk Assessments
• Assisting in specifying mechanical aspects for tendering works

Educated to at least HNC/HND level in Mechanical, Building Services or similar Engineering discipline.

Design experience in at least one of the following fields: Building Services, CHP, Boilers/Heating, HVAC, Steam, Air Handling, Cooling, Renewable Energy (e.g. Solar or Heat Pumps), or similar.

Competent in AutoCAD.

Full UK manual driving licence.
