Would you like to be part of Vital Energi’s Strategy of Growth? If so, due to our ongoing growth, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and work on an ongoing project at Ealing Hospital. The role will include boiler replacement and PSDS4 works; including ASHP/WSHP, Solar PV, secondary interventions, and thermal insulation renewal, currently in RIBA Design Stage 3-4.

About the role: You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalising projects within strict deadlines and budget. Control and management of projects, ensuring that strategic key milestone dates and overall completion targets are achieved within time and budget and in compliance with company risk management procedures. Maintain project team communications and assist with technical advice to on-site supervision as and when required. The ideal candidate would have M&E/Solar experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing technical specifications, calculations, electrical designs and drawings used in a variety of projects
  • Approve and maintain construction programmes
  • Manage all aspects of the contract(s) with the aid of Project Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Planning
  • Attend site meetings and produce contract status reports
  • Producing things such as power cable calculations, C&I cabling specifications, cable & interconnection schedule projection and electrical building service designs
  • Produce health and safety plans with overall responsibility for site health and safety, ensuring that all statutory obligations relating to health, safety and environment are met and where possible exceeded
  • Inputting into the preparation of HAZOP studies
  • Carrying out relevant equipment selection for projects
  • Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and resource plans

Skills/Experience:

  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Experience in managing projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • Health & Safety Qualification such as SMSTS, IOSH etc.
  • HNC/HND or Degree qualification in an engineering subject essential
