The Opportunity

We are looking for a HIU Engineer to join our specialist O&M team in the London area where they will become a specialist Energy & Asset Management Engineer, taking direct responsibility for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Vital Energi’s residential heating projects across London. This role would suit anyone from a plumbing & heating or general engineering background where they have gained experience in servicing and repairing Heating Interface Units, and where they are now at a stage in their career where they’d like to develop their experience with higher-value projects involving a range of conventional and sustainable heating systems.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance across multiple sites
  • Actively installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing HIUs
  • Providing technical assistance to clients, contractors and work colleagues within sphere of operation and fulfilling customer service requirements while meeting QHSE objectives
  • Ensuring statutory and mandatory inspections are satisfactorily carried out and documented in line with the company’s management system
  • Accurately maintaining and submitting relevant documentation and records as required
  • Undertaking subcontractor management where necessary
  • Responding to issues as part of a callout rota

Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum level 2 qualification in an engineering discipline
  • Experience of domestic heating controls
  • Basic electrical knowledge preferred
  • Previous experience in servicing and maintaining Heating Interface Units
  • Full UK manual driving licence
