Would you like to be part of Vital Energi's Strategy of Growth? If so, we are looking for a skilled CAD Technician to join our District Heating team based at our HQ in Blackburn supporting the delivery of low carbon energy infrastructure across the UK. In this role, you will play a key part in developing high quality technical drawings and design information for complex district heating networks, working closely with our mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers to bring innovative, sustainable energy solutions to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D drawings for district heating networks.
- Develop detailed design drawings including:
- General arrangement drawings
- Pipe routing plans
- Alarm drawings / As Builts
- Cross-sections and 3D details
- Interpret TOPO and GPR services
- Able to do a national 1 call search
- Working to NRSWA standards
- Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers to coordinate project designs.
- Update and revise drawings based on design reviews and client feedback.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, health.
