Due to continuing growth, we require a Building Services Engineering Apprentice (Craft) to strengthen the existing team located within the North West. The Company Vital Energi is a major provider of renewable energy infrastructure and systems to the public and private sectors. We are supporting Hospitals, Universities, New Build developments, Towns and Cities as well as Industrial and Commercial clients to decarbonise their buildings.
About the role
As Building Services Engineering Apprentice (Craft) you will be assisting with the fitting and welding of the installation, repair and maintenance of systems such as central heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and gas. Working in commercial or industrial premises such as schools, sports stadiums, hospitals and factories, fitting large-scale boilers, pipe and duct-work.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Installing boilers, tanks, pipes and controls in accordance with plans
- Use bending machines to shape large pipes up to 50cms in diameter
- Use flame cutting equipment to cut pipes to size
- Join pipes by soldering, metal arc welding and TIG welding (class 1)
- Test that systems are operating properly
- Check equipment for leaks, pinpoint faults and repair damaged parts.
What you will need
- Grade A to C/4+ GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics, English Language, and ICT
