Due to the company’s continuing growth, we require an Operations Manager to strengthen the existing Operation and Maintenance team.

About the role
This is a key leadership role where you will oversee a team of Contracts Managers, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards. You will be involved in developing client relationships, liaising with sub-contractors and suppliers, and shaping project outcomes through innovation in installation methods and technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Attend pre-contract meetings with senior commercial staff
- Understand contract and client requirements for project performance and delivery
- Ensure Contract Managers approve and maintain construction programmes and milestones
- Manage adherence to QA procedures, project defect management, and successful completion
- Oversee health and safety plans and standards across all sites
- Participate in selecting and securing labor and sub-contractors for projects across the UK
- Attend site meetings with clients to manage expectations
- Review and improve systems and methods for contract performance
- Conduct staff reviews within the team
- Develop client relationships and promote the company, seeking additional work
- Engage with potential clients and contribute to bid teams
- Promote company policies on equality and health and safety
- Contribute to trading forecasts and participate in monthly financial reviews
What you will need
- Several years’ experience as a Contracts Manager managing large or multiple projects
- Experience as Principal Contractor & Principal Designer
- Proven track record in a similar engineering environment
- HND/degree in Engineering
